Ravi Kanbur

Ravi Kanbur is T.H. Lee Professor of World Affairs, International Professor of Applied Economics and Management, and Professor of Economics at Cornell University. He has a B.A. in economics from Cambridge, and did his D.Phil at Oxford with James Mirrlees, Joseph Stiglitz and Amartya Sen. He has published 38 volumes and over 150 articles, including in leading economics journals such as American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy and The Economic Journal. In the policy arena, he has served on the senior staff of the World Bank, including as Chief Economist of the Africa Region and Principal Adviser to the Chief Economist of the World Bank.
